It
started at 13 years of age…

My
auntie gave me a Kodak B&W darkroom developing kit for
my birthday. She had no idea what it would lead to. I was hooked
as soon as I saw those first images coming up in the developer
tray. I lost total interest in school subjects and with a passion
I wanted to get into photography. I got a part time job at
a local camera store on Saturday mornings and by the time I
was 17 I had a full time darkroom job, processing and printing. |
A
large body of Joe's work has recently been published in 2 coffee
table books and 2 art calendars. Richard
Everist, former publisher
of 'The Lonely Planet', has published "Best
Shots" publications
covering Geelong and Bellarine Peninsula and the Bendigo Daylesford
region each with a coffee table book and art calendar. The feature
home page image on Joe's website was used on the front cover
of 2005 'Best Shots' art calandar.
